Guy has teamed up with dramatist Simon Reade of Poonamallee Productions to co-produce
a feature film version of Michael Morpurgo’s seminal WW1 novel Private Peaceful.
The film will be shot on location in Devon in late summer 2010.
Feb 2010
Guy teamed up with director and cinematographer Terry Flaxton to produce writer James
Callow’s entry into iFeatures - a new low budget scheme run in Bristol by Chris Moll.
The script, Nickel Delirium, was a fascinating drug-fuelled romp through the underbelly
of 19th century Bristol’s nascent film world. We made it to the last 25 from 550
entries, but sadly we fell at the interview process.
Mar 2010
Hat Trick Productions has joined Private Peaceful - Mark Redhead will be our executive
producer, I/C of rustling up UK TV finance and co-production partners.

Guy Paterson and Guy have almost completed the edit on slam poetry doc Looking for
the Lone Star - as a virtually no-budget doc it has been a long and difficult haul.
The film follows the road trip through America’s Deep South by two brilliant Bristol-based
performance poets, Pete Hunter and David Johnson. It features the music of remarkable
one man band Lewis Floyd Henry and some great poetry. Once completed we will take
it on the festival circuit.

Guy and Simon Reade now have a slate of projects to work on that, if successful,
will keep them busy until at least 2012. As well as Private Peaceful they are developing
a mockumentray about life as a theatre company on the road called What You Will,
Tagged, a dark psychological drama to be directed by the brilliant theatre director
Melly Still, Barrel Boys, a farmer based comedy and a number of other Michael Morpurgo
projects.
