Simon is a theatre producer and dramatist who has written the screenplay for Private Peaceful. Simon is a long term collaborator with Michael Morpurgo, and has adapted Private Peaceful for its hugely successful stage runs in London, Edinburgh, New York and throughout the UK on tour.

His other stage adaptations include works by Ted Hughes and Salman Rushdie for the RSC, two of Philip Pullman’s books and Pride & Prejudice which is currently on tour starring Susan Hampshire. Simon has also collaborated on films by Paul Greengrass, Lee Hall and Stephen Poliakoff amongst others.

Guy is an independent filmmaker working in features, docs and TV.

He  has written and produced two indie features (Living in Hope; past, present, future Imperfect), as well as shorts (Shopping for Love; Mashed) and TV (Gatecrashers for ITV2). He is also a scriptwriter with scripts completed for Kreige Films (Dangerous Days) and Goodvibes Productions (Ice Witness). He also wrote the book of the film for Ice Witness.

Looking for the Lone Star - his first documentary about two British slam poets on a road trip in the Deep South - is in the late stages of post production - he produced the film and co-directed it with Guy Paterson.

He has recently completed co-writing and co-producing feature doc What You Will. He is currently in development with a psychological thriller (Tagged) with Simon Reade of Poonanallee Productions and a heist movie (Barrel Boys) with his production company Fluidity Films.

Guy is in post production on his third feature - Private Peaceful - based on the seminal and award-winning novel by the brilliant children's author Michael Morpurgo, and directed by Pat O’Connor. The film will be released internationally in autumn 2012.

Guy Paterson
Born and brought up in Glasgow Guy went south to study film, ending up at Bristol University for an MA where he directed the Royal Television Society award-winning drama “Flood”.

Since then Guy has done his best to spread his wings and work across as many genres as possible. He has worked in TV here and abroad, shot music videos, documentaries, more award-winning shorts and worked in the creative department for Al Jazeera English in the Middle East. Most recently he co-directed ‘Looking for the Lone Star’, a feature documentary on the slam poetry scene in the USA.

During all this, Guy entered the world of advertising. Starting out writing and directing virals with a friend, they were quickly picked up for representation by an international production company. So far he has directed commercials for brands such as Cadbury’s, Pimm’s, MTV, SEGA and others for worldwide broadcast. They have been featured in Creative Review and nominated for awards in Cannes and the One Awards in New York.

Guy lives in London and is presently working on a number of drama projects including an adaptation from the award-winning book of short stories “Notes from a Turkish whorehouse” by Phillip O Ceallaigh.
